HTPO has been designing outdoor community gathering and recreational spaces since 1980. Our parks and trails project experience includes the full range of professional services: civil engineering, surveying, landscape architecture, construction inspection/observation, and construction staking. Our designs complement the existing environment of each site to provide aesthetically pleasing projects for city parks, corporate campuses, and municipal streets.

Crestwood Park
City of Eden Prairie, MN
Design for this new community park included a combination warming house, restrooms, and picnic shelter, softball, soccer, skating, hockey, tennis, and basketball facilities, trails, parking, stormwater ponding, and wetland preservation.
Marsh Lake Soccer Fields
City of Bloomington, MN
Design for the conversion of existing athletic field to three full-sized, irrigated, sand-based high-tech fast draining soccer fields.
Staring Lake Park
City of Eden Prairie, MN
Design for this scenic park overlooking Staring Lake included an open air amphitheatre with performance area surrounded by natural terraced seating, landscaped plazas, and ADA accessibility. The amphitheatre is home to many Eden Prairie traditions including city festivals like Jazz Fest, the summer concert series including musicals, plays, "Movies Under the Stars", "KidStock", "Immigrant Festival", and Oktoberfest. Recent design updates improved the playground area with new play structures, rubberized surface, and ADA ramp as well as regrading the ever-popular sledding hill for better directional control for safety measures.
Rogers Community Center Park
City of Rogers, MN
Design for this new 1.3 million dollar (construction cost) park includes two regulation baseball fields, three lighted regulation softball fields, two youth softball fields, two full size soccer fields, tennis and basketball courts, concession stand, trail system, play areas, park structures, streets, parking lots, irrigation, stormwater management, and sanitary sewer and watermain systems.
