HTPO has been designing outdoor community gathering and recreational spaces since 1980. Our parks and trails project experience includes the full range of professional services: civil engineering, surveying, landscape architecture, construction inspection/observation, and construction staking. Our designs complement the existing environment of each site to provide aesthetically pleasing projects for city parks, corporate campuses, and municipal streets.

Flying Cloud Athletic Fields Expansion
City of Eden Prairie, MN
This park expansion project included 2 baseball fields, 2 soccer/sport fields, parking lots, plazas, roadway connection, trunk storm sewer extension, infiltration basins, and grading for a future commercial site within the Flying Cloud Airport property.
Valley Lake Park
City of Lakeville, MN
Design for this park included a new shelter with restroom/changing rooms, trails connecting park amenities and surrounding neighborhoods, picnic shelters, new parking lot with raingardens, new beach area, and restoration of lake shore.
HTPO also designed access streets, parking lots, irrigation, stormwater management, and sanitary sewer and watermian systems.
Lake Ann Park
City of Chanhassen, MN
Project included new "100-person" picnic shelter, access road, and trail improvements as well as lighting for four existing ball fields.
Staring Lake Park
City of Eden Prairie, MN
This scenic City park has undergone many renovations/upgrades in recent years, most recently being redesign and reconstruction of the open-air amphitheater using a wet cast concrete block. HTPO also revitalized the playground area with new play structures, rubberized surface, ADA ramp, and extensive retaining walls with fencing.
The winter highlight is the sledding hill, which HTPO re-designed to provide sledding enthusiasts with better directional control for improved safety measures.
Miller Park
City of Eden Prairie, MN
A new multi-phased 100-acre outdoor athletic facilities park encompassing a regulation baseball field, three youth baseball fields, four youth softball fields, five soccer fields (three of which are lighted), two tennis courts, one basketball court, hockey and free skating rinks with a combination warming house, restrooms, and picnic shelter as well as ADA accessible play areas, picnic area, trails, and boat landing. Design included utilities, drainage, lighting, irrigation, paved roads, and parking lots to accommodate 900 vehicles. Recent design included the addition of sand base and drain tile to soccer fields.
