Rice Marsh Lake Trail
City of Eden Prairie, MN
This project extended a new recreational trail along Rice Marsh Lake. It included a pedestrian bridge across Riley Creek, retaining walls, and wetland mitigation.
Staring Lake Trail
City of Eden Prairie, MN
The Staring Lake Trail project created a new recreational trail along Purgatory Creek, providing a connection under CSAH 61 between Staring Lake and Creek Knoll Road in Eden Prairie. It included storm sewer improvements and wetland impacts.
County Road 4 Trail
City of Eden Prairie, MN
The County Road 4 trail project is an expansion of the City's bikeways trail system that interconnects existing trails along an approximately one-mile section of the Hennepin County Road 4 (Eden Prairie Road) corridor south of Hennepin County Highway 62. The project involved multiple retaining walls, fencing, temporary and permanent easements, watermain replacement, storm sewer installation, and stormwater pond construction. Obstacles such as poor soil conditions, limited right-of-way, property owner negotiations, numerous driveway crossings, steep slopes, wet weather, and environmentally sensitive areas were encountered and overcome to produce a successful project
Flying Cloud Drive Trail
City of Eden Prairie, MN
A City and County funded trail project consisting of 4,500 feet of new trail segments along this MnDOT roadway through downtown Eden Prairie. Project includes roadway narrowing, intersection improvements, and drainage improvements as well as reconstruction of existing trail along West 78th Street.
Birch Island Park
City of Eden Prairie, MN
Design for new neighborhood park includes extension of trails along County Road 4 through the park and Hennepin County wetlands connecting them to existing trails in Minnetonka and along Highway 62. Amenities include a future park shelter, play area, parking lot, pedestrian bridge, and future tennis and volleyball courts.
HWY 101 Trail
City of Chanhassen, MN
HTPO worked closely with the city and neighbors to develop an innovative design for 8,000 l.f. bituminous trail with the lowest possible impact to residents and the natural terrain. This project included feasibility study, construction documents, grading, drainage, erosion control, retaining walls, fencing, and guardrails as well as neighborhood meetings, easements, Mn/DOT permitting and wetland preservation.
Hidden Ponds
City of Eden Prairie, MN
Trail reconstruction around seven ponding areas in a residential area. Project also included pond sediment removal and storm sewer maintenance/improvements.
