July 2009:

Aaron Carrell, P.E.

HTPO would like to announce that staff member Aaron Carrell has received his Minnesota Professional Engineer's license. Aaron has been with HTPO since 2004 and has experience in civil design including roadway design and modeling, site planning, lift stations, trails, grading, utilities, stormwater management, and erosion control for public and private projects.


May 2009:

Charlie Howley, P.E. -
LEED Accredited Professional

HTPO is pleased to announce that Charlie Howley, P.E. has become a LEED accredited professional. LEED certification is the recognized standard for measuring building sustainability. LEED Professional Accreditation distinguishes professionals with the knowledge and skills to successfully administer the LEED certification process.

January 2009:

Flagship Bank has been nominated for an NAIOP Award of Excellence and is being featured in Twin Cities Business. HTPO participated as Civil and Landscape Designer.


April 2008:

The 8200 Tower at Normandale Lake Office Park was a Finalist for the category Office Development Multi-Tenant in the Minneapolis St. Paul Business Journal's 2007 Best in Real Estate awards. HTPO is doing the landscape architecture for this project.


February 2008:

Galaxie Liquors in Lakeville was named Project of the Year by the Minnesota Construction Association. The raingardens and porous pavers used in the landscaping and parking areas were acknowledged as unique and beautifying ways to environmentally control storm water runoff.


January 2008:

The Mn/DOT TH 212 Design-Build project was awarded No. 1 on the Top 10 Roads List for 2007 in the Roads & Bridges (R&B) publication. Over 50 North American road projects were nominated.

The Columbia Heights Membrane Filtration Plant was awarded 2007 Project of the Year in the category of Environment $10-100 million by APWA (American Public Works Association).


December 2007:

Gold level LEED-CS precertification has been achieved on the 8200 Normandale Tower and Ramp by USGBC (US Green Building Control). HTPO is doing the landscape architecture on this project.


April 2007:

Ivy Hotel + Residence was chosen Best Overall Winner in the category of Redevelopment/Extensive Renovation - Large, Commercial (30,000 s.f. or larger) by Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal - Best in Real Estate edition.

Phoenix on the River, a new condominium project, was chosen Winner in the category of Multifamily for Sale Development - Large (75 or more units) by Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal - Best in Real Estate edition.
